Panos Papandreou

Clinical Pharmacist, Scientific Director, CibusMed

Panos graduated from Northeastern University’s Bouve College of Health Sciences, situated in Boston, Massachusetts. At Northeastern, he completed his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (PharmD), as well as studies in Business Administration. Panos has completed his Doctoral Thesis at Athens’s National Kapodistrian University School of Medicine. The chief focus of his Ph.D. Degree was the assessment of bone mineral density changes in preterm neonates, and the development of intrauterine growth restricted neonates.

Panos was initially exposed to Neonatology and Pediatrics whilst working at the NICU of Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Boston, MA). Upon returning to Greece, Panos decided that he wanted to enhance his knowledge on neonatology and devoted himself to this field. He assumed the position of Clinical Pharmacist in IASO Maternity Hospital (2016-present). In 2017, Panos founded CibusMed. CibusMed specializes in delivering Parenteral Nutrition (PN) services to hospitals and at-home patients, and in developing and licensing proprietary Computerized Order Entry/Clinical Decision Support Tools (CPOE/CDSS) software solutions for healthcare facilities, that are deployed internationally. The company is the leading provider of parenteral nutrition services and software solutions within Greece, undertaking the production of ≈30,000 PN solutions annually.

Panos has been a member of the European Society of Clinical Pharmacists (ESCP) since 2011, holding the position of Special Interest Group Leader in Pediatrics. Panos was a member (Secretary General) of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Pharmacy Association (2019-2022). His subject knowledge is not limited to industry participation, as it is also complemented by academic research, having contributed to numerous academic publications.
